RCM VIDEO PRODUCTS
Mobile Production Studio Vans

We are filling a gap in the television market by offering an affordable solution for doing multi-camera television production
for television, cable, religious organizations, schools or anyone needing this service who can not afford a million dollar truck.

Since almost everyone who is doing video production is using a non-linear editing system now,
it is much easier to put on titles, special effects, graphics, audio editing, slow motion, instant replay and
other video editing examples are all now done on the computer.
Because od this new method it is not necessary to have all of these functions available
inside the vehicle at the same time.
This eliminates the need for a huge truck full of expensive equipment and a staff to run it.

Our van simplifies the entire process by utilizing only the most essential items needed
to run a four camera production that can be live mixed to a single source tape or hard drive.
The tape or source materials can then be easily loaded onto your editing machines hard drive
and be simply edited by just trimming or adding titles and graphics.

These custom vans can be custom built, loaded with equipment and ready to produce for
a turnkey price starting at under $50,000.00
* Price varies with types of camera and recorders used.

We have experience in building these vans, as we have built several so far that have been used
to produce several nationally syndicated television shows, music videos and special events.
Our vans are in use by the UATV Television Network, The NWA Wrestling Organization,
Daystar Television and Korean Television.
* We exported a custom van to a customer in Korea.

PREVIOUS VANS:

SOLD
2004 Dodge Sprinter 3500 Heavy Duty
This van is special in that it was the first of it's kind to utilize several new innovations in the
mobil television industry and broke several barriers.
It uses a the Newtek Toaster 3 computer system which allows up to 24 composite inputs,
or 8 component inputs and will perform live switching, character generation, instant replay
with slow motion and direct recording to the 2 terabyte RAID.
Video is backed up onto either DVD or DVCAM.

The new Dodge Sprinter is a product of Mercedes using a 5 cylinder turbo diesel that gets
around 20 miles per gallon and drives like a dream.
Vehicle cost is under $40,000 for the 3500 super duty,
making the overall cost of the total package less than $150,000.00.

Another special thing about this particular van is that it breaks the distance barrier for cameras
that has always been an issue with the 14-pin camera system.
(Normally, 14-pin cameras are limited to 100 meters).
This system uses a digital encoder/decoder system that travels over CAT5 at
distances over 1000 feet with full camera control and crystal clear video at a
price that is a fraction of TRIAX or a CamPlex system.
We can wire up to 4 cameras this way for half the cost of one Camplex or Triax camera.

Only two operators are needed to control live switching of 4 cameras, character generator, DVE effects,
instant replay, audio controls, camera control and shading and recording.
Typicaly, a seasoned pro can run the entire production all by them selves by pre-producing the
graphics and setting them up in sequnce.
The T3's automated system can play CG's for you and they can be brought in by a quick press of the DSK button.
The entire system is powered by normal household AC and can be plugged into any 110 outlet,
however everything is backed up by a APC 1400 UPS back up battery in case of a power failure and
the system can run on back up battery power for up to 15 minutes while a solution is found for the problem.

Using computer technology and the Newtek Taoster 3 system, all the physical equipment that is usually
needed for a production like this is replaced by "virtual" equipment.
Things like multi track audio mixers, proc amps, waveform monitors, vectorscopes, DVE,
character generators, and even video recorders are all now displayed on the two 20" LCD screens.
The program video is recorded direclty to hard drive in an uncompressed D1 format for the best quality possible.
The final edit is saved on DVCAM or burned directly to DVD.

Extremely compact and lightweight vehicle with enough room to stand up in.
There is no better bargain in the industry than this van.

SOLD
1998 Ford E-350 Extended Super Duty Econoline Van

Industry standard van, tough and reliable.

Designed for a single operator to control live switching, audio mixing, camera control and shading.
There is room for a second person to direct or take notes, but the vehicle is designed
for a single operator to take full control of the production.

This van once again uses Sony DXC-3000 cameras and CCU controls.
The 4 cameras can be mixed down live into a Mini-DV tape.
The final edit can be done in your studio.

The side couch will hold two people who have a direct view of the preview and program monitors.
The seat lifts up to reveal a storage compartment which is capable of storing a 12" jib crane
down the length of the van.

Storage could be maximized with multi tier shelving at an additional cost.

Using a used vehicle with mostly used equipment allow this type of vehicle to be custom
built for less than $50,000.00

SOLD
1993 Ford E-150 Econoline Van

This van used the smaller Ford E-150, which is not recommended.
However if your budget is extremely low you may be forced to use one of these vans.
They are not as robust as the larger industrial vans but can do the job if you keep the weight down.

SOLD
1983 E-350 Cube Van

This is an older box van that was previously used by the city of Dallas, Telecable.
It was completely refurbished inside and had room for 4 people at the desk, and enough room
for 4 more people to sit behind them.

Because of the excess of rack space, we installed everything that would fit!
This van was sold to the DAYSTAR Television Network in Dallas Texas for $40,000.00
